First of all, from the perspective of storage environment, polyester lanyard should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated and temperature-appropriate place. A humid environment easily causes polyester fibers to absorb moisture, which will cause the material to expand or hydrolyze, thereby affecting its performance. For example, in some coastal areas, the air humidity is high. If the lanyard is placed randomly, it may change in size and decrease in strength due to moisture absorption. Although polyester has good resistance to most chemicals, some strong acids, strong alkalis and other chemicals may corrode it. For example, in some industrial production environments, there may be various chemical reagents. If the lanyard is accidentally exposed to these reagents, chemical reactions may occur, causing the surface of the lanyard to be corroded, cracked or brittle, thereby affecting its performance and service life. Therefore, when using the lanyard, make sure it is away from these chemicals.

In addition, the correct use method can also delay the performance degradation of polyester lanyard. Avoid subjecting the lanyard to a load that exceeds its rated tensile force. Excessive stretching may cause changes in the molecular structure of the lanyard, reducing its strength and wear resistance. At the same time, try to minimize the twisting of the lanyard, because twisting will cause uneven stress distribution inside the lanyard, and local areas are prone to wear and fatigue damage. For example, when hanging items, ensure that the lanyard is evenly stressed to avoid excessive local stress.

Regular inspection and maintenance of the polyester lanyard is also very important. Before and after use, carefully check the lanyard for wear, cracks, deformation, etc. If the lanyard is found to be severely damaged, such as cracks or partial breaks, the damaged part or the entire lanyard should be replaced in time.
